JOIN TH!NKART FOR AN "ART OF SUMMER" APARTÉ! Jun 26, 2008   Come celebrate the Art of Summer with an Aparté at Th!nkArt. Inspired by European cultural celebrations, Th!nkArt's Apartés combine innovative artwork, music, hors d'oeuvres, and drink in an intimate gallery setting just right for provoking thoughtful conversation and playful celebration.  This summer's Aparté will feature works from Todd Narbey, James Coignard, Herve Di Rosa, Emmanuelle Renard, David Gista, Michel Haas, Antonio Segui, Pierre Marie Brisson, Neil Goodman, Ricardo Ramirez, Toufik Medjamia, Nicolas Kennett, Florent Moutti, and François Weil. We'll also introduce Sergio Garcia, Th!nkArt's newest artist, who works in mixed media and watercolor on paper. Our live musical act will be Alan Snider's art pop band The Elegant Universe, a big hit from our Holiday 2007 Aparté. JUNE-AUGUST: SCULPTOR FRANCOIS WEIL IN THE CSI BIENNIALE 2008 @ FLATFILE GALLERIES Th!nkArt sculptor François Weil will be featured in the juried Chicago Sculpture International (CSI) Bienniale 2008 at Flatfile Galleries.  The show runs through Saturday, August 22nd.   AUGUST: "INDIA SONG: AN INTIMATE PORTRAIT" BY SUSAN AURINKO @ TH!NKART GALLERY Our first photographic show will feature powerful new work from Susan Aurinko of Flatfile Galleries chronicling her recent expedition to India. OCTOBER: "TRANSPARENT SECRETS" @ TH!NKART GALLERY This fall, for the first time, Th!nkArt will be a part of Chicago Artists Month with "Transparent Secrets", an exhibition featuring emerging Italian painter Carlo Locascio.  Locascio's thought-provoking work highlights the relationship between inner truth and transparency, the nature of secrecy and personal deception, and the absurdity of modern life.
